I know a lot of Christians, and a lot of people sometimes get the idea in their head that something is too hard for them to ever beat. That no matter how hard they try, they'll just get knocked down again. I know for me personally, I have had many things appear that way. And yet quite a few of them have been beaten. I went to God with my broken heart and He has been mending it. But it isn't quite that easy. We have our own part to do. Our own battle. But the great thing is we're fighting an enemy who's already been beaten. I know for myself that I serve the one who can NEVER be beaten. So where does that put me? I say to myself every time I do something wrong, or go back to something I've done that no matter how many times I fall, I'll just get back up, because no amount of darkness or pain can keep me on my knees. If you keep your eyes focused upward on The Son, instead of looking at how much everything hurts, you won't hardly even notice. I've found that the more I look to God, the less of what's wrong in my life even matters. The less I want to sin, and the less pain things cause. God's got a plan, and He will use anything and everything for a good cause. No matter what happens, or what's going on, if you stay on the right path, it will all turn out for the better. Even if you stumble off the path a few times, you can get right back on. If you trip and fall, you can get up again. You're the only one who can decide if your beaten or if you've lost. Remember, losing battles doesn't mean you lose wars. Like the Revolutionary war between the US colonies and England. The US lost so many battles, and were fighting such a big enemy, and now one would have thought the outcome would be that the colonies won the war. Battles are important, but they don't mean everything. That doesn't mean you should stop fighting them, or stop trying as hard. It just means that you shouldn't give up if you lose one, or even a few. Just try harder.
This isn't the longest post, I know. But while the title doesn't seem to have a lot to do with what's written, I chose those words for a reason. And that is because every time I fall or trip or stumble, I always say this. "You say there's no hope for victory, you say I won't win. Watch me. I will never go down."
