Trust

Hey everyone, I know it's been a very long time since I posted anything, and I'm sorry about that. I got out of the habit of writing posts, but I want to bring this blog back to life. So here's something that I've been learning to do lately.

Trust. It's something that we all struggle with. Whether or not it's trust in people, or trust in God. Now lately I've really been learning to trust God through everything. He's provided me and my family with money, a place to live, and many other things that didn't seem possible or likely. Even enough money to order prints of my photography to sell at a show. The fact is I had some serious doubts about any of this happening the way it has, yet he still pulled through and did it all anyway.
Trust is HARD. It always will be. We're so used to being hurt and let down that many of us just close ourselves off to most of the world. We can learn to do that again though. I'm not saying trust just anyone, because that will hurt you. But don't hold yourselves back from those that have earned it.
Thanks for reading. I hope to have more soon.

Who am I?

Who am I? A question we all frequently think about, but rarely admit that we don't know. In a way, it has a very direct link to how you think about your future. If you don't know who you are, you won't have any ideas at what your future may look like. To find oneself is something everyone strives for, but many become more lost than when they started. The problem is, we all change constantly. There are always things coming in, and going out, which makes it difficult to pin down what we are. God knows us better than we know ourselves, and sometimes all it takes is the thought to actually ask Him. I personally struggled with this for a long time. What helped me was finding the gifts and passions God gave me, and learning about my true identity. Learning about my identity in Christ is something that really pushed me forward and helped me to find out more about myself, about Him, and about things around me.
The bible has a lot to teach us about our identities, but so does God. Pray, ask Him about who you are and who you're meant to be, who He wants you to be. Read the bible and ask Him about what it is you're reading and how it relates to you. You just may get some answers that you never expected.

I've spent a lot of time recently trying to figure out who I am. I've got some answers now, but it wasn't easy to take in. Sometimes accepting the answers can be the hardest part. But don't give up.

Always New

As human beings, we tend to have a little trouble grasping the concept of infinity... More like a lot of trouble. Because of this we tend to stick God in a box and confine him to certain ideas that we have in our mind. The truth is, he's not limited by anything in our mind, but we do have to be open to it. If we're not opening ourselves, he won't force us to do so.
In science, there is always something more to learn. Always something new. This is true in every person's life as well. Something they've yet to experience, something they've yet to try. Since God is infinite, he will ALWAYS have something new for us. A new experience, a new depth of love, a new kind of understanding. There's so much we don't know, and so much we have to learn. But infinity doesn't end, so neither will the new experiences with him. So long as we keep spending the time and energy to be with him, he will always have something new to give us.

I know today's post was rather short, and I hope to have more posts coming along soon. Thank you for reading. I hope you all have a wonderful week, and many blessings along with it.
